TV personality cashes at WPT Macau, banks US$ 18,400 and goes live to count it
An outsider cashes on his first international start, and the internet says it beats his TV show.
A television personality best known for variety shows cashed in the WPT Macau Main Event last week, finishing 87th for US$ 18,400. He went live the moment he busted, counting chips in his hotel room. Counting the money, rather.
He says it was his first international event, having only played at friends’ places and online. ’My manager covered the Main Event buy-in and called it travel expenses.’

The hottest thread in the forum asked how hard it really is for an outsider to cash on debut. The answer: not that hard, and not easy either. In a 1,100-runner field the money started at the top 15%, roughly like drawing lots after removing the weakest third.
