Five days, 850 runners, a $$3,427,200 prize pool. The final table lasted six hours, but three hands decided it. Here they are, street by street.

Hand one: level 32, nine-handed

The chip leader opens from the cutoff and the short stack in the big blind jams A♦J♦. The leader calls with K♠Q♠, a call that is clearly wrong on ICM, but the flop comes king high and the short stack is out. From that hand on, the rhythm of the table changed.

Hand two: a three-handed 4-bet

Two closely stacked players trade 3-bets and 4-bets three-handed until one jams 40BB with 9♣9♥ and the other calls with A♣K♣. A 55/45 flip preflop, and a king lands on the turn.

Hand three: the heads-up river bluff

Twenty minutes into heads-up play, the shorter stack fires 1.5x pot on the river with a missed flush draw. The eventual champion tanked for nearly four minutes and called with second pair.
